| line | one dimensional geometric figure that extends in two opposite directions without end |
| plane | a flat surface made up of points that has two dimensions and extends without end and is represented by a shape that ooks like a floor or a wall |
| endpoints | points that represented that ends of a line segment or ray |
| ray | a geometric figure that consists of the endpoint A and all points on line AB that lie on the same side of point A as point B |
| intersection | the set of points two or more geometric figures have in common |
| postulate/axiom | a rule that is accepted without proof |
| midpoint | the point that divides a segment into two congruent segments |
| segment bisector | a point, ray, line, line segment, or plane that intersects a segment at its midpoint |
| convex polygon | a polygon in which no line that contains a side of the polygon contains a point in the interior of the polygon |
| concave polygon | a polygon in which one line that contains a side of polygonal contains a point in the interor of the polygon |
