| Broker | a person who buys and sells goods or assets for others |
| Claim | state or assert that something is the case, typically without providing evidence or proof |
| Collision Coverage | coverage that helps pay to repair or replace your car if its damaged in an accident with another vehicle or object |
| Comprehensive Coverage | helps pay to replace or repair your vehicle if its stolen or damaged in an incident that is not a collision |
| Co-Payments | a contribution made by an insured person toward the cost of medical treatment or other services |
| Death Benefit | the amount paid to a beneficiary upon the death of an insured person |
| Deductible | able to be deducted especially from taxable income or tax to be paid |
| Dental Insurance | helps cover the cost of dental care including preventive, basic, and major procedures like cleanings, fillings, ad crowns |
| Disability Insurance | provides income to replace a portion of your earnings if you are unable to work due to an illness or injury |
| Effective date | the date in which legal rights or obligations become binding between two or more parties |
| HMO | short for health maintenance organization |
| HRA | health reimbursement arrangement (an employer funded account that reimburses employees for qualified medical expresses or health insurance premiums |
| Liability Coverage | designed to cover you if you are held responsible for causing injury or property damage |
| Living Benefits | features and protections that can help you while you're still alive |
| Medicare | a federal system of health insurance for people over 65 years of age and for certain younger people with disabilities |
| Power of Attorney | the authority to act for another person in specified or all legal or financial matters |
| Premium | an amount to be paid for an insurance policy |
| Primary Physician | a general medical professional who provides comprehensive care, acting as the first point of contact for health concerns and managing a wide range of conditions |
| Term Life Insurance | life insurance that pays a benefit in the event of the death of the death of the insured during a specified term |
| Vision Insurance | helps cover the cost of routine eyecare and eyewear, such as annual eye exams, glasses, and contact lenses |
| Whole Life Insurance | life insurance that pays a benefit on the death of the insured and also accumulates a cash value |
