Tropism A plants growth responce toward or away from a stimulus is called a tropism
hormone A hormone produced by a plant is a chemical that affects how to plant grows and develops
photoperiodism A plants response to seasonal changes in the length of day and night
critical night length The number of hours of darkness that determines whether or not a plant will flower or not
dormancy A period when an organisms growth or activity stops
3 stimuli that produce plant responses Touch, gravity, and light
Give a example of both positive and negative tropism If a plant grows toward the stimulus, it is said to show positive tropism. If A plant grows away from the stimulus that shows a negative tropism
Describe what triggers a flower to grow The amount of darkness
why is dormancy important Dormancy helps plants survive, freezing temperatures and the lack of liquid water
