Tropism The response of a plant toward or away from a stimulus

Photoperiodism A plant response to seasonal changes in the length of night and day.
Critical night length The number of hours of darkness that determines whether or not a plant will flower
Dormancy A period of time when an organism growth or activity stops.
3 stimuli that produce plant response Touch, gravity, and light are three imported stimuli that trigger growths responses, or tropism, in plants.
What trigger a plant to flower Thigmotropism is what trigger a plant
Why dormancy is important Dormancy helps plant survive freezing temperature’s and the lack of liquid water.
Give example of both positive and negative tropism A plant grow towards the stimulus it is said to show a positive tropism . If a plant grows away from a stimulus, it shows negative tropism
