| Term | Definition |

| Horizon line | The line where the sky meets the ground in a drawing. It shows eye level. If something is below the horizon line, you can see its top. If it is above, you cannot. |
| One-point perspective drawing | A drawing that shows how objects look smaller as they get farther away, meeting at one vanishing point on the horizon line. |
| Orthographic drawings | A drawing that shows height, width, and depth of a 3D space on a flat surface (like floor plans or elevations). |
| Orthogonal line | A line that goes from the corner of an object to the vanishing point, creating the illusion of depth. |
| Scale drawing | A drawing made larger or smaller in a set ratio to the real object’s size. |
| Serif | A small decorative line added to the ends of letters in some fonts. |
| Two-point perspective drawing | A drawing that uses two vanishing points to show how objects look from two sides. Often used in architecture or interior design. |
| Vanishing point | The point on the horizon line where parallel lines appear to meet in the distance. |
