Tropism The response of a plant toward or away from a stimulus

Critical night length The numbers of hours of darkness that determines whether or not a plant will flower
Dormancy A period of time when an organism’s growth or activity stops

Positive and negative tropism Positive tropism is the growth or turning movement towards the direction of the stimulus. Negative tropism is the growth or turning movement away from the direction of the stimulus.
