Sister chromatids Two identical strands of a replicated chromosome

Mutation an alteration in the base pairs sequence
Substitution Replacing part of an amino acid with another part
Point mutation a mutation where one base pair is replaced
Insertion inserting a new part of an amino acid, shifting the code
deletion deleting a part of an amino acid, shifting the code
