activation energy the minimum energy required for a chemical reaction to occur
chemical reaction a process that involves rearrangement of the molecular or ionic structure of a substance, as opposed to a change in physical form or a nuclear reaction.
reactants Reactants are the starting materials in a chemical reaction that are changed into new substances, called products
products a substance that is formed at the end of a biological or chemical reaction
enzymes a substance that is formed at the end of a biological or chemical reaction
catalyst a substance that increases the rate of a chemical reaction without itself undergoing any permanent chemical change.
substrate the substance on which an enzyme acts.
