Name three types of muscles found in the body? Cardiac, Smooth and Skeletal muscle.
Functional unit of a skeletal muscle Sarcomere
Where is the deltoid muscle located? Shoulder.
What is Z disc, M line and A line in a muscle? Z disc is end of sarcomere, M line is in middle of sarcomere and A line is the area of myosin.
Describe what a muscular strain is? When there is damage in the muscle.
Where is smooth muscle located? Organs (bladder, uterus and blood vessel).
Difference between voluntary and involuntary muscle contraction? Voluntary movement is conscious control located in the skeletal muscle, the involuntary muscle is unconscious control.
Name layers of skeletal muscle in correct order? Epimysium, Perimysium, Endomysium, Sarcolemma and Myofibril.
Structure and function of bicep brachii? It is Fusiform and located in the arm, assists with elbow flexion.
Difference between agonist and antagonist muscle movement? Agonist works together with the contracted muscle, while antagonist works against the contracted muscle.
