Female Reproductive

TermDefinition
Vagina this is the female reproductive organ, also called the birth canal.
Cevix this is part of the female reproductive system and is the narrow opening at the end of the uterus
Uterus where development occurs. Contains a thick muscular wall that breaks down during menstration.
Ovaries produces eggs and the female hormones: estrogen and progesterone.
Fallopian tubes where fertilization occurs. The part of the female reproductive system that carries the egg to the uterus.
Fertilization occurs when the female gamete (egg) and male gamete (sperm) unite to form a zygote. (offspring)
