TermDefinition
System Set of interacting components considered to be a distinct entity for the purpose of study or understanding.
Feedback Information from one step of a cycle that acts to change the behavior of a previous step of a cycle.
Model A pattern, plan, representation, or description designed to show the structure or workings of an object, system, or concept.
Emergent Property A property that a system has but that its component parts do not have.
Ecosystem All of the living and nonliving things in an area.
Organism Any living thing.
Biotic Factor Living components of an ecosystem.
Abiotic Factor Non-living components of an ecosystem.
Homeostasis The maintenance of constant internal conditions in an organism.
