Terms abt cells

Cell The basic unit of life for all living organisms
Cell membrane The outer boundary of the cells that controls what goes in and out
Cell wall The rigid part of a plant cell that keeps the shape and maintains its shape and provides support to the cell
Chlorophyll The green pigment found in chloroplasts
Chloroplast The site of photosynthesis in the cell
Mitochondria The powerhouse of the cell
Multicellular An organism that consists of more than one cell
Nucleus Controls all activities that happen in the cell
Organelle General name given to structures present within the cytoplasm
Cytoplasm Th fluid in the cell
Photosynthesis The process where plants use carbon dioxide and water to make glucose and oxygen
Ribosome The site of protein photosythesis
Unicellular An organism with one cell
Vacuole The storage structure of the cell
