Process of Natural Selection
| Term | Definition |

| proliferation | A fast increase in the number of cells or organisms, like when cells multiply during growth or healing. |
| morphology | The shape and structure of an organism or its parts, like the wings of a bird or the leaves of a plant. |
| physiology | How the parts of a living thing work, like how the heart pumps blood or how lungs help us breathe. |
| adaptation | A trait or behavior that helps an organism survive better in its environment, like thick fur in cold climates. |
| Natural selection | The process where organisms with traits that help them survive are more likely to live and have offspring, passing those helpful traits on. |
