Logistic growth of a population

TermDefinition
biotic Living parts of an environment, like plants, animals, bacteria, and fungi.
abiotic Non-living parts of an environment, like sunlight, water, air, and temperature.
carrying capacity The largest number of organisms an environment can support without running out of resources.
ecosystems Communities of living things (biotic) and non-living things (abiotic) that interact in a specific area.
resources Things organisms need to survive, like food, water, shelter, and space.
climate The usual weather conditions in a place over a long period of time, including temperature, rainfall, and wind.
competition When organisms fight or struggle for the same resources, like food or space, in an environment.
