Logistic growth of a population

| biotic | Living parts of an environment, like plants, animals, bacteria, and fungi. |
| abiotic | Non-living parts of an environment, like sunlight, water, air, and temperature. |
| carrying capacity | The largest number of organisms an environment can support without running out of resources. |
| ecosystems | Communities of living things (biotic) and non-living things (abiotic) that interact in a specific area. |
| resources | Things organisms need to survive, like food, water, shelter, and space. |
| climate | The usual weather conditions in a place over a long period of time, including temperature, rainfall, and wind. |
| competition | When organisms fight or struggle for the same resources, like food or space, in an environment. |
