QuestionAnswer
What is Chromosomes? Protein that contains DNA which has coded information for making molecules which is in both animal and plant cell. They are also a thread structure which is made up to DNA that controls the function and the characteristics of a cell (chromatin).
What is Chromatin? A group of chromosomes that are put toghether.
3 parts of DNA Phospate, Nucleotide, Sugar (Deoxyribose), 4 proteins which is PMAT, Backbone and nitrogen and spaces.
Nitrogenous Bases Adenine, Thymine, Cytosine and Guanine
What is Codon? A nucleotide sequence in which the order of the nitrogenous bases make up in a certain amino acid.
What is necleotide? Adenine and Thymine that are together in a double helix which makes the part of a DNA known as giving traits.
Amino Acids Made from a Codon which is 3 nucleotide sequence based on the nitrogenous bases to make a certain amino acid.
Proteins Small circles which are amino acids form into protein.
Gene A segement of DNA which controls a certain trait of an individual based on a strand.
Phenylketonuria (PKU) The body that is does not enzeyme to digust certain proteins.
Down Sydrome It tells when there is a embryo adding a extra chromosome based on a disease.
Huntington disease A disease that easily affects nerve cells so that a person can lose control on muscle.
Transgenetic Organism GMO which is genetically modified organism which has many different kinds of genes which are alerted or mutated.
Genetic engineering A process of combining cells which relate to DNA that is to 1 organism to another.
Mutations A codon sequence which relates to gene segments based on DNA.
Mutagens The cause of Mutations.

Use these flashcards to help memorize information. Look at the large card and try to recall what is on the other side. Then click the card to flip it. If you knew the answer, click the green Know box. Otherwise, click the red Don't know box.

When you've placed seven or more cards in the Don't know box, click "retry" to try those cards again.

If you've accidentally put the card in the wrong box, just click on the card to take it out of the box.

You can also use your keyboard to move the cards as follows:

If you are logged in to your account, this website will remember which cards you know and don't know so that they are in the same box the next time you log in.

When you need a break, try one of the other activities listed below the flashcards like Matching, Snowman, or Hungry Bug. Although it may feel like you're playing a game, your brain is still making more connections with the information to help you out.
