Turasóireacht (oral)

Turasóireacht in Éirinn agus i gCill Airne

QuestionAnswer
It is my view that there are two sides to tourism matters in Ireland. Is dócha go bhfuil dhá thaobh ag baint le cúrsaí turasóireachta in Éirinn
On one hand, it cannot be denied that the tourism industry is very important in this country. Ar thaobh amháin, ní féidir a sheánadh ach go bhfuil tionscal na turasóireachta fíorthábhachtach sa tír seo
For example, tourism creates many jobs in my own area. Cuirim i gcás, cruthaíonn an turasóireacht go leor postanna i mo cheantar féin
People come from far and near to Killarney, and the lakes and mountains around us are very famous. Tagann daoine ó chian agus ó chóngar go Cill Airne, agus tá an-cháil ar na lochanna agus ar na sléibhte timpeall orainn
A large number of people come here, especially during the summer. Tagann líon mór daoine anseo, go háirithe i rith an tsamhraidh
This place is full of B and Bs, hotels, pubs, and excellent restaurants, and these places create summer jobs for people like me. Tá an áit seo ar maos le lóistíní, óstáin, tithe tábhairne agus bialanna den scoth, agus cruthaíonn na háiteanna seo postanna samhraidh do dhaoine cosúil liomsa
The tourists go around in jaunting cars. Téann na turasóirí timpeall ar na cairteanna cliathánacha
Tourists love hiking in the mountains or boating on the lakes. Is breá le turasóirí dul ag siúl ar na sléibhte, nó ag bádóireacht ar na lochanna
Most tourists go to Muckross House and learn about the old farming traditions that used to exist long ago. Téann mórchuid turasóirí go dtí teach Mucrois agus foghlaimíonn siad faoi na sean-nósanna feirmeoireachta a bhíodh ann fadó
The Ring of Kerry is world-famous. The scenery on this tour is unparalleled. People can go on a bus tour, or they can rent a car here in Killarney to travel around Kerry. Tá cáil ar fud an domhain ar an mórchuaird. Tá an radharc tíre ar an turas seo gan sárú. Is féidir le daoine dul ar turas bus, nó is féidir leo carr a fháil ar cíos anseo i gCill Airne chun dul ag taisteal ar fud Chiarraí
On the other hand, it is said that there has been a decrease in the number of tourists coming to Ireland. Ar an taobh eile den scéal, deirtear go bhfuil laghdú tagtha ar líon na dturasóirí ag teacht go hÉireann
It is claimed that Ireland is very expensive for spending a holiday in, in terms of accommodation and food. Maítear go bhfuil Éire an-chostasach le saoire a chaitheamh inti i dtaca le lóistín agus bia
We have a high cost of living in this country compared to other countries in Europe. Tá ardchostas maireachtála againn sa tír seo i gcomparáid le tíortha eile san Eoraip
The public transport system is not effective. Buses are rarely on time, and we don’t have a great train service between the airports and the main cities. Níl an córas iompair poiblí éifeachtach. Is annamh a bhíonn na busanna in am, agus níl seirbhís traenach iontach againn idir na haerfoirt agus na príomhchathracha
We have a big problem with antisocial behaviour, especially in Dublin. Tá fadhb mhór againn le hiompar frithshóisialta, go háirithe i mBaile Átha Cliath
There have been a few frightening stories in the news recently about American tourists who were left badly injured as a result of random attacks. Bhí cúpla scéal scanrúil sa nuacht le tamall anuas faoi thurasóirí Meiriceánacha a fágadh go dona tinn mar thoradh ar ionsaithe randamacha
Young people hang around the streets and intimidate gay people and people of different races. Bíonn ógánaigh ag crochadh timpeall na sráideanna agus déanann siad imeaglú ar dhaoine aeracha agus ar dhaoine de chiníocha difriúla
Theft happens often, and bags and wallets are snatched from unsuspecting tourists. Tarlaíonn gadaíocht go minic, agus sciobtar málaí agus sparáin ó thurasóirí soineanta
More police should be put on the streets of the cities. Ba chóir níos mó gardaí a chur ar shráideanna na gcathracha
It is necessary to tackle inflation and try to reduce prices. Is gá dul i ngleic leis an mboilsciú agus iarracht a dhéanamh praghsanna a laghdú
