What is a polymer? A long molecule consisting of many similar/identical monomers linked together
What is a monomer? A subunit that serves as a building block for the polymer
What is heat? How fast the particles of a substance moves
What is temperature? The measure of heat intensity
What is specific heat? How much energy it takes to change a substance's temperature
What is a polar molecule? A molecule that has two opposite charges on its two ends
What two ions form when water dissociates? Hydronium & Hydroxide
What is a solvent? A dissolving agent of a solution
What is a solution? A homogeneous mixture of 2 or more substances
What is a solute? A substance that is dissolved by a solvent
What is an acid? A substance that increases the hydrogen ion concentration of a solution
What is a base? A substance that reduces the hydrogen ion concentration of a solution
What does the root hydro mean? Water
What does the root lysis mean? Break
What is known as "Milk Sugar"? Lactose
