Credentials | qualifications from previous achievements, training, and general background that indicate a person is capable of doing a specific kind of work |
Doctor of Education (EdD) | a professional degree designed for practitioners pursuing educational leadership roles |
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) | professional degree designed for practitioners pursuing careers that treat and diagnose conditions using conventional medical tools |
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) | professional degree that denotes the highest level of academic achievement in a given discipline; focused on research in a chosen field |
Education | careers in teaching, instruction, and training; administration; research; academic and student support service |
Entry level / high school diploma | a job that requires just a high school diploma education, with little training, and experience |
Intervention | careers that assist children with special education and social adjustment needs in classrooms and other settings |
Master’s degree | a degree that is given to a student by a college or university usually after one or two years of additional study following a bachelor's degree |
Medical | careers that focus on a specialized body of knowledge of medicine that is used to help people |
College and career readiness skills | the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to be successfully in postsecondary education and/or training that lead to gainful employment |
