TermDefinition
White blood cells (WBC's) that have granulocytes- Neutrophils Eosinophils Basophils
WBC'S that are agranulocytes- Lymphocytes Monocytes
fibrous pericardium - made of tough white fibrous connective tissue that forms a loose, inextensible outer covering of the heart
serous pericardium moist , serous membrane covering the entire outer surface of the heart known as the visceral layer or epicardium
SA node known as the pacemaker, normal cardiac impulse initiates mechanial contraction
P wave represents depolarization of the atria , caused by the passage of an electrical impulse from the SA node through the musculature of both atria .
QRS complex depolarization of the ventricles, depolarization of the interventricular septum and spread of depolarization by the subendocardial branches (Purkinje fibers) through the lateral ventricular walls.
T-wave repolarization of the ventricles
Immunoglobulin M (IgM) antibody that immature B cells synthesize and insert into their plasma membranes.
Immunoglobulin A (IgA) antibody present in the mucous membranes of the body , in saliva , and in tears
