phospholipid a lipid with a hydrophilic head and a hydrophobic tail, part of a cell membrane
equilibrium a state in which particles are equal on both sides of a membrane
solution a mixture of a solute and solvent (ex: salt water)
solute a substance that is dissolved in a solvent (ex: salt in salt water)
solvent the liquid in which a solute is dissolved (ex: water in salt water)
