Homeostasis The process by which the body maintains a stable internal environment
What is the role of the integumentary system? It protects the body from external damage, regulates temperature, and provides sensory information.
Anatomy The study of the structure of the body and its parts.
What does the nervous system do? It controls and coordinates body activities by transmitting signals between different body parts.
Organism A living being that has a cellular structure and can perform vital functions such as metabolism, growth, and reproduction.
What is the largest organ in the human body? The skin (part of the integumentary system).
