DNA replication

QuestionAnswer
why replicate DNA? to create a current copy of the DNA so that the cell can divide
Step 1? DNA molecule untwists
step 2? The enzyme DNA helicase will break the hydrogen bonds holding the bases together causing the 2 strands to separate
step 3? free floating nucleotide will bond together using the pattern of the DNA
step 4? enzyme DNA polymerase puts in new hydrogen bonds between the bases creating 2 new DNA
step 5? DNA will retwist and the cell will divide
