Matter Substance of the universe, has mass and takes up space.
Element Is a pure substance that is distinguished from all other matter by the fact that it cannot be created or broken down by ordinary chemical means.
O element symbol Oxygen.
C element symbol Carbon.
H element symbol Hydrogen.
N element symbol Nitrogen.
Ca element symbol Calcium.
Compound Is a substance composed of two or more elements joined by chemical bonds.
Atom An atom is the smallest quantity of an element that retains the unique properties of that element- smallest of anything that can exist.
Proton Positively charged
Neutron Negatively charged
Electron Guys that spin around the proton and neutron.
