Glycolipid Lipid w/ a carbohydrate attached through covalent bond, cell membrane structure, facilitate cellular recognition, attached to cell membrane
Glycoprotein Protein w/ a carbohydrate attached through covalent bond, immune responses, reproduction, blood coagulation, attached to cell membrane
Photosynthesis Biological process, light energy -> chemical energy, converts CO2 and H20 into glucose for energy biproduces oxygen
Amylases An enzyme that breaks down starch and other complex carbohydrates into simple sugars
Phosphorylase An enzyme that has a variety of functions, starch digestion, breaks glycogen into glucose, glycogen metabolism
