| Glycosidic Linkage | Covalent bond formed by condensation reaction that connect a carbohydrate to another molecule, carbohydrate or other molecule |
| Starch | Polysaccharide made from glucose chains, energy and nutrition source, fruits, vegetables, & grains |
| Glycogen | Highly-branched storage polysaccharides, major form of stored glucose energy in animals |
| Cell Wall | Fibrous membrane outside of plasma membrane, protection, structure, and movement of molecules in and out of cells |
| Cellulose | Structured polysaccharide made from glucose monomer chains, plant cell wall structure |
| Chitin | Structural polysaccharide, cell walls of fungi & algae, and exoskeletons of arthropods |
| Peptidoglycan | Complex structural polysaccharide, bacteria cell walls, maintain shape & protect from external threats, mesh-like layer |
