Ground Compact Bone slide Osteon, Central Canal, Lamellae, Lacunae with Osteocytes, Canaliculi.
Zone of Resting cartilage Area of Resting cartilage that provides basis for increase in length of Bone.
Zone of Proliferation Area where chondrocytes are dividing.
Zone of hypertrophy Area where mitosis slows and chondrocytes enlarge.
Zone of Calcification Area in epiphyseal plate where cartilage is becoming calcified.
Ossified Bone Osteoblasts are secreting new bony matrix
Compact bone Periosteum, Perforating(Sharpey's) Fibers, Endosteum, Osteon with Central Canal and Lamellae, Lacunae with osteocyte and Canaliculi, Perforating (Volkman's) Canal.
Frozen Long Bone Periosteum, Diaphysis with compact bone and medullary (marrow) cavity, Epiphyses.
Epiphyses spongy bone that has red marrow, epiphyseal line, epiphyseal plate, articular cartilage.
