U2-Arteries, Veins

artery function: pumps oxygenated(mostly) blood away from heart
vein function: pumps deoxygenated(mostly) blood to heart
arteries > _ > capillaries arterioles
veins > _ > capillaries venules
capillary sphincters function control blood flow in capillaries
aorta: largest artery, heart
carotid: artery, head region, opposite of jugular
jugular: vein, head region, opposite of carotid
vena cava: superior vena cava, inferior vena cava
blood clotting needs _ platelets to break and react with plasma, thromboplastin reacts with prothrombin and make thrombin, then use calcium and finally reacts to fibrinogen to make fibrin, and lastly fibrin makes a mesh to trap escaping blood cells
first blue side / right side superior vena cava + inferior vena cava, right atrium, right ventricle, pulmonary trunk, right/left pulmonary arteries, lungs for oxygen
second red side / left side left/right pulmonary veins, left atrium, left ventricle, aorta, rest of body
