Dna is made up of what? repeating units called nucleotides
Each nucleotide has one of the following groups: dioxyribose-a five carbon sugar phosphate group one of four nitrogenous bases
What are the four nitrogenous bases? Purines: Adenine, Guanine Pyrimidines: Cytosine, Thymine
Which bases go with which bases? Adenine+ Guanine Cytosine+ Thymine
What did James watson and Francis Crick discover? Using what? Using x-ray photos taken of dna by Rosalind Franklin, they formed a model of DNA.
What does the model of DNA used today, look like? It has a double helix. Phosphate and sugar form the sides and the nitrogenous bases form the rungs. The two stands are complemantary
