Interphase the cell is growing & devloping

growth phase cell is growing and developing its organelles
prophase centrioles move to opposite poles - nucelsu evelope dissapears - chromosomes coil up into visible structures
metaphase spindle fibres attach onto the chromosome and liene them up in the middle - spindle fibres attach on the the centriomeres
anaphase - spindle fibres retract and pull 1/2 the chrromosomes towards each centriole
telophase spindle fibres areback in the centrioles - nuclear enveliopes starts to form back around both sets of chromosomes - chromosomes uncoilt o become chromatin
cell checkpoints cell checkpoint - not enough nutrients to grow
cytokinesis cell membranes, pinches off in the middle & separates into 2 daughter cells
apoptosis cells die when it is too old to function
cancer cells - can undergo mitosis an ulmimited number of times
tumor cells that clump together due to an uncontrollable urge to divide
