Chromosomes Proteins that contain DNA which has coded information for making molecules
Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum Produces and stores protein
Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum Produces and stores oils and fat
Golgi bodies Modifies and packages proteins from rough endoplasmic reticulum with enzymes
Ribosomes helps rough endoplasmic reticulum make proteins
Centrioles helps with cell division (mitosis)
Mitochondria Converts sugar into energy for the cell
Cytoplasm Fluid in the cell
Vacuole Stores water, minerals, and vitamins
Lysosomes Breaks down food, invading bacteria, and old and damaged organelles
Chloroplasts uses sunlight to make its own food (photosynthesis)
Diffusion movement of molecules from areas of high concentration to low concentration
Osmosis movement of water molecules from high concentration of water to low concentration of water
Permeable allows any molecule to diffuse across membrane
Semi-permeable allows certain molecules to diffuse across membrane
Non-permeable allows no molecules to diffuse across membrane
