Where is the Parietal lob located and what does it control? Middle Brain. Sensory spatial awareness, perception of body image
What does the Occipital lobe control? (Smallest part of brain) Visual, shapes and reading
What does the cerebellum control? (Little Brain) Motor cortex. If damaged can cause imbalance or tremor.
What does the PONS control? Sleep
What is the temporal lobe for? Language, smell and hearing
What is the largest part of the brain and what is its function? Frontal lobe, personality, thinking, memory and individual differences (personality)
What part of the brain is responsible for breathing? Medulla
What does the spinal cord do? Sends messages through the brain
What are the names for the top and the bottom of the brain? Dorsal and Ventral
What are the anterior and Posterior in a 3d map of brain? Front and Back
Middle and Side of the brain? Medial Lateral
What are the three main section planes in anatomy and explain? Frontal/Coronal - separates anterior/posterior Saggital - separates lateral/medial Transverse - separate dorsal/ventral
