Heredity The passing of physical characteristics from parents to offsprings
Trait Characteristics that can be passed on from parent to off spring such as eye color and hair color
Genetics The science of heredity
Fertilization Joining of the egg and sperm (pollen cells) to flowers
Purebred An organism that has the same gene for a trait.
Hybrid an organism that has one dominant and recessive gene
Gene/Allele Different forms of a particular trait
Dominant Allele Gene that shows we most times in population
Recessive Allele Gene that is mashed or hidden by dominant allele.
Gregor Mendel Father of genetics
Heterozygous hybrid having one of each gene
homozyygous Pure bread having two of the same gene
