| dynamic equilibrium | A reversible process is said to be in dynamic equilibrium when the forward and reverse processes occur at the same rate, resulting in no observable change in the system. |
| progesterone | A type of hormone made by the body that plays a role in the menstrual cycle and pregnancy. |
| leukopenia | is a condition where the body doesn't have enough disease-fighting leukocytes in the blood |
| pericardium | is a fibrous sac that encloses the heart and great vessels. |
| hypovolemic | an emergency condition in which severe blood or other fluid loss makes the heart unable to pump enough blood to the body |
| heparin | is an anticoagulant. It is used to decrease the clotting ability of the blood and help prevent harmful clots from forming in blood vessels. This medicine is sometimes called a blood thinner, although it does not actually thin the blood. |
