Haversian Canal | Any of the small vascular canals at the center of the osteon, running longitudinally to the length of a bone, and containing blood vessels, nerves and lymphatics |
Actin Myosin | Actin filaments, usually in association with myosin, are responsible for many types of cell movements |
Myofibril | Long, cylindrical organelle in striated muscle cells, composed mainly of actin and myosin filaments that run from one end of the cell to the other. |
Sarcomere | repeating subunit from which the myofibrils of striated muscle are built. |
