evolución evolution - cómo las especies han cambiado a lo largo del tiempo: nuevas especies han descendido de especies anteriores pero han cambiado durante largos períodos de tiempo
seleccion natural natural selection - cuando las especies con ciertos rasgos son más capaces de sobrevivir y transmitir sus genes (tener bebés) porque están mejor adaptadas para sobrevivir (a menudo llamado supervivencia del más apto)
adaptación adaptation - Un rasgo que se hereda y aumenta el cambio de supervivencia de un organismo (estos pueden provenir de mutaciones aleatorias)
en peligro endangered - Especie que está en peligro de extinción debido a la disminución de su población.
extinguida extinct - Cuando muere el último organismo de una especie.
fósil fossil - parte de un organismo o una impresión de un organismo que vivió en el pasado
