| Abiotic factors | The non-living parts of an ecosystem |
| Biotic factors | The living parts of an ecosystem |
| limiting factors | Factors that causes population to stop growing |
| Carrying capacity | The largest population an environment can support |
| Commensalism | One organism benefits, and the others is uninfected. |
| Mutualism | Both organisms benefit |
| Parasitism | One organism benefits and the other is harmed |
| Symbiosis | Relationship of two different species |
| Niche | The job an organism has |
| Organism | ONE living thing |
| Community | Two or more species in an area at the same time. |
| Population | The same species in an area at the same time. |
| Biosphere | All living things and their environments on earth |
| Ecosystem | Biotic and abiotic factors together in an area |
| Decomposer | Consumer which eats dead organisms. |
| Food chain | Shows energy flows from one organism to the next |
| Food web | Many food chains put together |
| Predator/prey | A relationship where one animal hunts and kills another animal for food |
| Producers | Make their food through photosynthesis. |
| Carnivore | Meat eater |
| Competition | Fighting over resources like food and water |
| Energy Pyramid | Shows how energy is lost in a food chain |
| Herbivore | Plant eater |
| Omnivore | Eats both plants and animals |
| Consumers | Eat other living things. |
