Homeostasis The term homeostasis refers to the ability of the body to maintain a stable internal environment despite changes in external conditions.
Cell Theory The scientific theory that all living things are made of cells, that the cell is the basic unit of life, and that all cells come from other cells
Asexual Reproduction Asexual reproduction is a mode of reproduction in which a new offspring is produced by a single parent. The new individuals produced are genetically and physically identical or they are the clones of their parents.
Sexual Reproduction Sexual reproduction is the formation and fusion of haploid male and female gametes.
Multicellular Consisting of multiple Cells
Unicellular Consisting of only one cell
Organization Biological organization is the organization system that scientists use to organize living objects from the smallest parts to the largest parts.
Metabolism The chemical processes that occur within a living organism in order to maintain life.
Growth & Development Growth is an increase in a measurable quality such as weight, height or head circumference. Development refers to the complex changes/increases in skills, abilities and capabilities that people experience as they grow.
Response To Stimuli A change in the environment is the stimulus or the reaction of the organism to it is the response.
Evolution The process by which different kinds of living organisms are thought to have developed and diversified from earlier forms during the history of the earth.
