Biomolecules
| Term | Definition |

| Monomer | Is an individual molecule (Repeating patterns). Mono means single (Only, one). |
| Polymers. | Poly means many. It refers to repeating patterns in a whole molecule. |
| Biomolecules | Molecules made up of carbon bonded with other elements such as oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, phosphorus and sulfur. |
| Carbohydrates | Some carbohydrates can associated with proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids. Two major function: Energy (Short term). Cell structure (Cell walls) |
| Lipids | Biomolecules that contains fats, oils, waxes, steroids, and phospholipids. |
