Biomolecules Review

Biomolecules

TermDefinition
Monomer Is an individual molecule (Repeating patterns). Mono means single (Only, one).
Polymers. Poly means many. It refers to repeating patterns in a whole molecule.
Biomolecules Molecules made up of carbon bonded with other elements such as oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, phosphorus and sulfur.
Carbohydrates Some carbohydrates can associated with proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids. Two major function: Energy (Short term). Cell structure (Cell walls)
Lipids Biomolecules that contains fats, oils, waxes, steroids, and phospholipids.

Nucleic acids
