A cream foundation provides heavier coverage and is usually intended for drier, more mature skin types.

Blush is used primarily to add color to the cheeks.
Mascara is a cometic preparation used to darken, define, and thicken the eyelashes.

Eye shadow is a cosmetic used to accentuate the eye shape and compliment eye color.
Lip color is available in many forms, whish are a mixture of oils, waxes, and pigments known as lakes or color.
Cosmetic products that do not contain ingredients that would clog the follicles, aggravating acne-prone skin, are called noncomedogenic.
Loose powder is applied with a large powder brush or a disposable powder puff.
Oil-based eye makeup removers are generally used to remove heavy, dramatic makeup and break down latex glue used to apply false eyelashes.
An eyeliner brush has a fine, tapered, firm bristles and is used to apply liquid liner or shadow to the lash line.
Individual lashes are separate artificial eyelashes that are applied to the base of the eyelashes one at a time.
While spray-on cleansers can be used to quickly clean brushes, they contain a high level of alcohol and are not recommended for daily use.
Matching shadow color with eye color creates a monochromatic field with a less dramatic depth of contrast.
Expression lines and wrinkles can be minimized with a skin primer and foundation.
The makeup goal for a heart-shaped face is to minimize the width of the forehead and increase the width of the jawline.
Skin that has a yellowish hue is known as sallow skin.
