| Peristalsis | muscular contractions which move food through the digestive tract |
| Bile | chemical produced by liver and stored in gall bladder which breaks up fat into fat droplets |
| Emulsification | fat breaking up into fat droplets |
| Villi | fingerlike projections which help speed food absorption |
| Absorption | small food molecules move from the small intestine into the bloodstream |
| Elimination | undigested food exits the rectum. (Note! This is not METABOLIC WASTE) |
