Describe the process of diffusion Water molecules travel from a place of high concentration to a place of low concentration
How are osmosis and diffusion related? Osmosis is a type of diffusion for water moving in a semi permeable membrane. Diffusion is movement of particles across a semipermeable membrane of lipids, protein and nutrients.
Protein pumps part of membrane that requires energy to move molecules into the cell
Endocytosis cells pinch in to absorb external material
Exocytosis movement of materials out of the cell
