This is about genitics terms and definitions

Trait A trait is a quality or characteristic of a living thing
Behavior A behavior is a way in which a living thing Acts or responds to it surroundings
Inherited trait An inherited trait is a characteristic that a living thing gets from its parents
Population A population is a group of organisms of the same kind that live in the same area at the same time
Acquired trait An acquired trait is a characteristic that a living thing gets during its lifetime
Learned behavior I learned behavior is a skill that an animal develops after it's born
characteristics A distinguishing quality or feature
Likeness Similarity to
Organism biotic or living thing
offspring children or young animals in relation;a descendant
species A group of having some common characteristics or qualities
Genetic Produced or influenced by genes
Heredity Transfer of genetic characteristics from it's parents to an offspring
Resemble To be like or similar
DNA Materials that transfer genetic characteristics from parents to offspring
Gene Part of the DNA that transfers genetic characteristics from a parent to an offspring
Chromosome One of the rod shape or thread like DNA-Containing bodies of cell nucleus that contain all or most of the gens of an organism and can be seen especially during cell division
allele a gene of two or more variations
Inheritance What you get from your parents or grandparents or someone else in genetics. The traits you get from your parents
Trait variation Different traits that are inherited
Dominant trait A trait that is stronger than the other trait you inherited from your parents and therefore you will have that exact trait
Recessive trait A genetic that will only be seen in your genetics if both parents give you the reccesive trait
Physical trait an observable characteristic that is determined by your genes
Nucleus The brain of the cell
Cell Basic structural and functional unit of all known living organisms
