Describe the basic structure of a eukaryotic cell. Eukaryotic cells have a nucleus, membrane-bound organelles, and a complex internal structure.
What is the cell cycle, and why is it important for growth and development? The cell cycle is the process by which cells divide and replicate. It is crucial for growth and development as it allows for the formation of new cells and tissue growth.
What are the four primary types of human tissues? Epithelial, connective, muscle, and nervous tissues.
What is the role of the skin in the human body? The skin serves as a protective barrier, regulates temperature, and plays a role in sensory perception.
What is the function of bones in the skeletal system? Bones provide structural support, protect organs, store minerals, and aid in movement.
Name two types of bones in the human body and provide an example of each. Examples include long bones (e.g., femur) and flat bones (e.g., skull bones).
