Behaviors the things organisms do to survive and reproduce
Response to act or answer to a stimulus
Stimulus Something that causes an action
Receptor Cells that send messages to the brain when it receives stimuli
Central Nervous System Sensory impulses pass through the brain and spinal cord
Neurons a communication cell found in the brain and nervous system
Response time the length of time it takes for an organism to act in response to a stimulus
Adaptation a structure, feature, or behavior that helps an organism survive and or reproduce
Inherited traits information passed on from parents
Learned behaviors a behavior that is taught and practiced
Reflex an involuntary response to a stimulus where sensory neurons send messages directly to motor neurons
Instinct a behavior or an action that is not learned but an inherited ability or trait
