Cell membrane surrounds the cell controls what substances enter and leave the cell

lysosome Contains chemicals that break down large food particles into smaller pieces also breaks down and recycles old cell parts
golgi body receives the proteins and other newly formed material,packages it, and distributes it to other parts of the cell. (or to leave the cell)
vacuole stores food,water,and waste
cytoplasm gel like material that holds organelles
organelle small structure inside cell with specific jobs
protein a long chain of amino acid molecules; contains carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and sometimes sulfur.
cellular respiration a series of chemical reactions that convert the energy in food molecules into a usable form of energy called ATP.
