Synthesis | Simple Materials Chemically Combine to Form More Complex Materials |
Growth | Increase / Growth in Size and # of Cells |
Excretion | Removal of Metabolic Wastes Ex. Sweat, Tears, Carbon Dioxide |
Regulation | Control and Coordination of all Activities in an Organism Ex. Endocrine & Nervous Systems |
Reproduction | Not Needed for Survival |
Asexual | One Parent / Identical Offspring |
Sexual | Two Parents / Not Identical |
Metabolism | Sum of ALL Life Processes Includes the Release of Energy |
Homeostasis | Maintaining a Constant, Stable, Internal Balance Equilibrium Ex. When we are sick our bodies are NOT in Homeostatis |
