| Synthesis | Simple Materials Chemically Combine to Form More Complex Materials |
| Growth | Increase / Growth in Size and # of Cells |
| Excretion | Removal of Metabolic Wastes Ex. Sweat, Tears, Carbon Dioxide |
| Regulation | Control and Coordination of all Activities in an Organism Ex. Endocrine & Nervous Systems |
| Reproduction | Not Needed for Survival |
| Asexual | One Parent / Identical Offspring |
