Adaptation A trait or characteristic that improves an organism’s ability to survive in its environment

Analogous Structures Body parts that have the same function in organisms but have different evolutionary roots
Anatomy A life science discipline dedicated to the body structures or living organisms
Artificial Selection The intentional reproduction of organisms with the sole desire of creating offspring with desirable characteristics
Asexual Reproduction Reproduction that involves only one parent and results in offspring that is genetically identical to the parent
