| Kidneys - | You have two They filter urea out of the blood They also filter out excess water This urea and excess fluid forms urine |
| Ureters - | Carry urine from the kidneys to the bladder |
| bladder - | stores urine until it is excreted |
| Urethra - | tube leading from the urinary bladder to the outside of the body |
| Nephron - | functional unit of the kidney There are about a million in each kidney It is the nephrons that filter out urea and excess water from the blood |
| Urea - | a waste product produced by cells it contains nitrogen, so it is also referred to as nitrogenous waste |
