Homeostasis Stable internal environment
Qualitative data Information gathered from an experiment that involves descriptive characteristics such as color or texture
Quantitative data Information gathered from an experiment that involves counting or numerical measurements
Asexual reproduction A single organism producing offspring identical to itself
Sexual reproduction Cells from two parents uniting to form a new organism
Observation Noting events or processes in an orderly manner
Bias Subjective point of view for or against something
Science Use of evidence to devise testable explanations for natural phenomena
Stimulus Signal to which an organism responds
Inference Conclusion based on evidence and reasoning
Hypothesis Testable scientific explanation for a specific question
Control group Group in which the independent variable is not changed
