What is the function of the nucleus? It is the "control center" of the cell and contains the cell's DNA
What is the function of vacuoles? To store water and waste. They are larger in plant cells.
What is the function of the cell wall? Surrounds and protects plant cells.
What is the function of the cell membrane? A thin wrapper surrounding a cell that controls what comes in and out of the cell.
What is the function of the chloroplast? It creates food from sunlight in plant cells.
What is the function of the cytoplasm? It is a jelly-like substance that fills the cell and cushions that other organelles.
What is the function of the Mitochondria Produces energy for the cell
What is the function of the Endoplasmic Reticulum? Makes and transports proteins
